Dalslands KulturAuktion 2019...

Tomorrow 2019-07-28, it's time for this year's event, in Dals Långed, Sweden.

I've been invited and asked to play 2 sets with mostly songs by Creedence/ john Fogerty, but also a couple of my own songs and 1-2 covers by other artists.

So that's what i'm planning to do.

If you wanna hear some classic tunes tomorrow and/ or are interested in the auction, you'll know where it's all happening (all info is in the poster).

As always, this is all for a good cause and this year, all profits go to doctors without borders, aka MSF.

Thanx to Jonny Andersson, for arranging this event.

PS! it's probably worth mentioning that this in a cash only event.

Open Mic - 2019-04-24...

me and some friends have been playing music on mondays , for a while.

we're playing covers of different genres.

songs that we all like and enjoy playing.

this wednesday, we played in front of an audience, for the very first time together, as a "band".

it was the season finale of open mic in bengtsfors, sweden.

this time it was held at a close by school café (strömkullecaféet), which is bigger and, in some ways, better than where it's usually happening, at sensus.

since we're 9 guys, we got there early, so we had enough time to set everything up.

and since we were already set up, we got to start the evening by playing 5 songs.

these are the songs we played:

1 - billy ray cyrus - achy breaky heart

2 - billy joe shaver - live forever

3 - john fogerty - deja vu

4 - kim larsen - this is my life

5 - creedence - the midnight special

everything went great and all of us had a great time.

mikael blom was the soundguy of this evening and, as usual, he did a great job and made everything sound right.

after we'd played our songs we packed up our gear and started listening to the other performers.

when it got close to the end of the evening, we found out that dick johansson, who's running all open mics, wanted us to end the evening with one more song.

we decided to play a song that everyone knew well.

6 - creedence - lodi

this song didn't go as well though, since our gear was out of place and we didn't have enough time to set things up.

i had a really hard time hearing the drums, so once during the song, i noticed that i was totally out of sync and had to make some "on-the-fly" adjustments, to get it right again.

we had a lot of fun and that's what matters the most.

thanx to everyone who showed up!

thanx to sensus for having these events!

thanx to mikael blom for the great sound!

thanx to dick johansson for bringing big city open mics to the small village called bengtsfors!

Att Vara... New Original Song 2019...

It's gonna be available on Spotify, Itunes and plenty of other sites, on that date

Right now you can only hear it on Youtube:

Andreas Bryntesson - Att Vara... New Original Song 2019 (Lyric Video)...

dear friends and foes!

i released my new original song into the world last night.

finally, after all this time...

i really hope you'll like it.

feel free to comment and please share it, so more of your friends can hear it.

for more info about this song, the songwriting, the recording process and more...

you'll find it in my previous blog post: https://andreasbryntesson.com/blog/blog/new-original-song-s-about-to-be-released

one thing i didn't mention, is that i couldn't decide what genre i wanted to do, so i made 3 totally different versions of this song.

1 is a country version, 1 is an edm version and 1 was the finished result that you can now listen to.

it was a very hard choice, cause i really liked all 3 versions.

here's the link to the song on youtube:

Andreas Bryntesson - Att Vara... New Original Song 2019 (Lyric Video)...

New original song's about to be released...

I've been working hard the last few months to finally finish my latest project.

It's a song with quite a story.

I wrote it some time way back in '95 - '99, in a small and blue attic, that i used to live in.

it was my very first own apartment and i stayed there for about 10 years.

I felt like i wanted to try to write the lyrics in swedish, for the first time.

I think it's harder to write lyrics in your own language, cause the words become much more personal and important.

Anyway, the mindset going into writing those lyrics, was to just clear my head of everything and just write whatever comes out.

Those lyrics that i wrote that day, turned out to be quite dark and gloomy, but still with a little bit of hope tucked in there.

I can't remember how i felt back then, but i'm guessing, listening to the lyrics, that it wasn't my happiest moment.

Me and my brother made a recording of the song, on my yamaha 4-channel cassette recorder.

It was hard rock.

Heavily distorted guitars from my hamer guitar and my brother's zoom distortion pedal.

The drums were a simple drum beat from my alesis sr-16 drum machine, with some fills at the appropriate places.

There was no bass, so it sounds pretty thin, but we had a lot of fun.

Maybe i'll post that old version as well, just so you can hear the difference...

I'll bet some of you will probably prefer that old one, before this new version of the song.

They sound dramatically different imho.

Not at all the same genre anymore.

I've also made some musical changes to the chorus, which make the song sound more dynamic.

I bought my first ipad a couple of years ago.

I knew there were a ton of awesome music apps on that platform, that you can't get elsewhere.

I bought a lot of really cool music apps and decided that i wanted to try and record this song on the ipad.

I have a soundcard (rme babyface) that's compatible with the ipad, so that worked like a charm.

I recorded all the vocals, all the bass and some of the guitars onto my ipad, using an app called auria pro.

Auria pro is one of a few awesome daws for the ipad and everything worked great.

The rest of the instruments, drums, some of the guitars and the piano were created, using a combination of different ipad apps and pc programs.

I imported the song and the instruments from my ipad to my pc and did all the editing, mixing and mastering process, in a pc daw called cubase 8.5.

I decided to release this song as a lyricvideo.

It's actually finished already, but the problem is that the file size is too big to upload, so i'll have to find a way to shrink it and still maintain the highest possible

So that's what i'm doing right now.

I'll probably make a new post when i've found a solution to this problem and i've uploaded the video to youtube.

I've never even come close to the amount of time and work, that i've put into this song.

I really hope you'll like it.

Huggz and kizzez to everyone!

What Happened At Dalslands KulturAuktion 2018-07-28...

last saturday (2 days ago), i played at dalslands kulturauktion, in dals långed, sweden.
it was a very hot day, but still there were about 350 visitors in total, during the day, so the event was successful.

i played 16 songs in about 1 hour.
14 songs by creedence and 2 of my own songs.
these are the songs i played (you can click on the songs, if you wanna hear the original versions):

Dalslands KulturAuktion - 2018-07-28...

this is a celebrity auction, held in dals långed, sweden, where you can bid for a nice dinner with local celebs, as well as a traditional auction, where all profits go to support research about prostate cancer.
i'll be playing acoustic for about 1 hour.
mostly creedence songs this time, but also a few of my own songs.

Dalslands KulturAuktion in Dals Långed - 2017-07-29...

about a week ago (2017-07-29), i was playing at dalslands kulturauktion, in dals långed, sweden.

it's an event that started last year and i guess the plan is to do it yearly.

it's kind of a local celebrity auction, where local companies donate stuff to auction out.

there's also a regular auction with more than 800 objects.

all income of this event goes to the red cross.

thanx to jonny andersson who is the man behind this event.

i was there playing bruce springsteen songs (and one of my own songs as well (called "i wanna know"), that i actually wrote right after listening to the nebraska album by bruce springsteen, for the very first time) between 10:00-11:00.

i had fun playing and i saw some familiar faces in the crowd.

the songs i played were:

* waiting on a sunny day

* hungry heart

* born in the usa

* born to run

* no surrender

* the river

* thunder road

* i'm on fire

* johnny 99

* i wanna know

* glory days

* i'm going down

* dancing in the dark

after i had played these songs, i repeated 3 songs, thinking that most people there missed them the first time around.

* waiting on a sunny day

* born in the usa

* hungry heart

thanx once again to jonny andersson, for arranging this event.

thanx to everyone who listened.

what's going on...

not much musically has been going on lately, other than an old song i've been working on and improved.

it's called "att vara..." and it's my first and only (so far) song in swedish and i'm currently working on 3 different versions of it.

i'm considering uploading all 3 versions and let you guys decide which one you like the best/ least of them...

when i'm done playing, i've got a train to catch, so i'll need to leave the event right away.

i would've liked to stay for a while and listened to caisa svanström, who'll be playing melissa horn songs.

i'm going to gothenburg for the weekend, to meet up and spend some valuable time with the family.
